Basic educational principles of Bizi Toki:
To respect the child’s personality.
To help the child in his/her special abilities.
To consider the child as a whole: affective-emotional, motor-sensorial and mental aspects are taken into account.
To have confidence in his/her wish to learn.
To give the child the freedom to choose his/her learning according to his/her motivations. However, it should be stated that he/she cannot do whatever he/she wants in Bizi Toki, but all he/she does he/she wants to do it.
To educate without punishments or rewards.
To learn by doing.
To promote solidarity.
To give the child the opportunity to be autonomous.
To allow the child to develop his/her full potential.
To divide the children according to their development. And therefore, the main stages are defined following Jean Piaget philosophy: (about 0-2 years-old, 2-7 years-old, 7-12 years-old, 12-15 years-old and 15-18 years-old).
To consider that, whatever the age is, all individuals learn and teach.
To not only consider the child as human being in evolution, but as Janusz Korczak said, as a human being who mainly lives the present moment.
To encourage the development of their critical thinking.
To respect the child's sexuality.
Thus, we wish children to build their own personality from solid foundations, love themselves and feel good in their inside, that is, we want to ensure their welfare.
